3 Doors Down Lyrics

3 Doors Down lyrics have been debated and speculated upon by many midnight post-Grunge carousers. The fabulous “Kryptonite” needs no introduction, though. Of the many interesting 3 Doors Down lyrics, “Kryptonite” captures the spirit of modern hard rock better than any. For this reason, when I buy 3 Doors Down tickets, I always look forward to them playing this song. 3 Doors Down live is not complete without a rendering of “Kryptonite”, in my humble opinion. Here are the lyrics to that awesome 3 Doors Down song:

Kryptonite

I took a walk around the world
To ease my troubled mind
I left my body laying somewhere
In the sands of time
But I watched the world float
To the dark side of the moon

I feel there is nothing I can do, yeah

I watched the world float
To the dark side of the moon
After all I knew it had to be
Something to do with you
I really don’t mind what happens now and then
As long as you’ll be my friend at the end

If I go crazy then will you still
Call me Superman
If I’m alive and well, will you be
There a-holding my hand
I’ll keep you by my side
With my superhuman might
Kryptonite

You called me strong, you called me weak,
But still your secrets I will keep
You took for granted all the times
I never let you down
You stumbled in and bumped your head,
If not for me then you’d be dead
I picked you up and put you back
On solid ground

If I go crazy then will you still
Call me Superman
If I’m alive and well,
Will you be there a-holding my hand
I’ll keep you by my side
With my superhuman might
Kryptonite

If I go crazy then will you still
Call me Superman
If I’m alive and well, will you be there
Holding my hand
I’ll keep you by my side
With my superhuman might
Kryptonite
Yeah!!

If I go crazy then will you still
Call me Superman
If I’m alive and well,
Will you be there a-holding my hand
I’ll keep you by my side
With my superhuman might
Kryptonite
Yeah!!

There’s an edge about Brad Arnold’s voice in that song that carries echoes of the classic human struggle and brings you up into a world of strength and resolution. You can’t do better than 3 Doors Down Kryptonite. It’s one of my favorite ever songs and I always listen to it on my I-Pod when I begin a run – it inspires me to make that special effort.

Another great example of 3 Doors Down Lyrics comes from that same brilliant Better Life album. The song is the title track, “The Better Life” and it oozes a sense of contradiction – a two-way pull suggestive of both life and death. Brad Arnold’s lyrics always convey a wild and murky ambivalence, and “The Better Life” is a prime example. If you like 3 Doors Down lyrics I will assume you love the lyrics to “The Better Life”. Imagine a 3 Doors Down concert and they’re belting out this beauty:

The Better Life

I’m about to be on the floor again,
Surely you’re gonna find me here
I’m about to sleep until the end of time,
Drug I take gonna wake
My fear right now
I’m passing away on to the
Better life
I’m passing away on
To the better
I’m about to see just how far I can fly,
Surely your gonna break my fall
I’m about to run as fast as I can,
Head long into that wall
This time I’m passing away on to the
Better life
I’m passing away on
To the better
On to the better life
On to the better
I’m about to be on the floor again,
Surely you’re gonna find me here
I’m about to sleep until the
End of time, drug I take
gonna wake my
fear right now
I’m passing away on to the
Better life
I’m passing away on
To the better
I’m passing away on to the
Better life
I’m passing away on
To the better
